Oscar Zañartu

He was born in Caracas in 1960. He has had solo exhibitions in the Minotauro, Clave and San Francisco galleries, and in theaters of Coro, Falcón state, and Puerto Ordaz, Bolívar state. In Paris his work has been exhibited in the Tanagra Cultural Center, in the Cité Internationale des Arts Exhibition, in the De Mars and Arver Space galleries, as well as in the Levallois Municipal Gallery, in Levallois Perret (France). In collective exhibitions, his work has been exhibited in Belgium, France, the United States and Venezuela; in Caracas he took part in the exhibition "Del génesis a la memoria", 1995, organized by the La Previsora Foundation. In 1982 he won the Critven National Prize and in 1990 the Honorable Mention José Antonio Páez, at the Venezuelan Embassy in Paris. In 1991 he was awarded the first prize of Traveling Painting, in Levallois Perret, France.
